Ciarán Marcantonio

Ciarán Marcantonio is a comic book writer and editor who’s been working independently since 2012. He’s the writer of the Kickstarter bestselling cyberpunk graphic novel “Neon Skies” winner of 3 ICN Awards in 2019, the steampunk epic “A Clockwork Universe” and the wasteland horror “Red Sands”.

He’s currently the Editor-In-Chief of Black Sheep Comics which he founded in partnership with The Irish Writers Centre in 2019. Ciarán has also written the all-ages superhero book “The Stoat” for Buttonpress Publications and in the UK he’s written “Professor Elemental Comics”.


Ciarán was previously best known as the former Editor In Chief and a founding member of Rogue Comics Ireland and former Managing Editor and founding member of Lightning Strike Comics.

Ciarán is also an avid podcaster as a member of the multi-award winning show the ComicCityCast and is a member of the team behind the annual ComicCity Festival in Derry.
