Q-Con Christmas Fair

Q-Con Christmas Fair

Belfast Culture Night has teamed up with QUB Dragonslayers to bring their annual gaming and anime convention, Q-Con, to the City Centre on the weekend of the 15th and 16th of December.

The event is set to take place in the Print Room of the old Belfast Telegraph Building, and run from 09:00 to 18:00 on Saturday and 13:00 to 18:00 on Sunday.

Designed as a family-friendly event, all of the activities that will be on offer will be suitable for all ages and admission will be free-of-charge.

This set to be a great event for people of all ages! We’re really honored to have been approached about putting on such an event in order to help the City Centre during this difficult time and in the last couple of weeks before Christmas!” – Tasha Montgomery, QUB Dragonslayers President
Arranged at the request of the Belfast City Council in order to revitalise the City Centre in the run-up to Christmas, the event is set to include a number of local businesses and traders, and will see a Christmas-time spin put on the popular Q-Con formula. The Q-Con Christmas Fair is one in a series of events organised in part by the Belfast Culture Night team due to take place during the weekends leading up to Christmas, which in turn is part of a larger effort by the Belfast City Council to engage with the public throughout the Christmas month. Events that will be running include a tabletop area with a variety of Board Game, Wargame, and Collectible Card Game demos and tournaments; an eSports area which will be running a selection of the latest family-friendly and multiplayer games in both a free-play and tournament capacity; a trade area comprised of a number of local traders with a variety of games and anime related goods focused towards the gift level; an artists area featuring a number of local artists with a variety of games and anime related goods focused towards the gift level; and a host of other attractions soon to be revealed.
This June, Q-Con entered its twenty-fifth year of providing a fun and engaging experience for the people of Belfast and beyond. With over two decades of experience under our belt when it comes to organizing large-scale gaming events, we are committed to providing a good time to everyone who attends the event.” – Ben Harrison, Q-Con Managing Director
