League of Legends at Q-Con Belfast

Attention all League Of Legends fanatics!

Are you ready for fast paced 5v5 matches to decide who is the best in Ireland? Two teams of powerful champions, each with a unique design and playstyle, battle head-to-head across the Summoner’s Rift for the 4th year in a row at Q-Con.

Back to Back Q-Con Champions will be returning to compete for the 3rd year in the row but will they win this time or will you Ryze up to the occasion and prove that you are mightier than the champs?

The 5v5 tournament spot will be open to 16 teams with qualifiers ahead of the action packed weekend and will span over the 3 days of the convention. Along with the the 5v5 tournament, there will be a 1v1 tournament to show off your mechanical skills and prove you are the best solo laner in Ireland! Will you be Ireland’s Faker? Sign up to both tournaments now!

5V5 WIll take place From Friday 6pm-Sunday 5.30pm with the 1v1 taking place from 4-6pm. Both tournaments are open to all ranks from Bronze V- Challenger will be played on the patch of the current time.

Q-Con XXV League Of Legends Rules

General:

  1. It is the responsibility of all the users of this arena to know and understand the rules.

  2. Byo signing up t this tournament, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to abide by the rules posted here. All players must adhere to the Summoner's Code.

  3. We will not tolerate players or teams that cause problems , that cheat, dispute on purpose, or repeatedly abuse players. Violators will be dealt with accordingly including possible removal from the This Is irish League of Legends facebook page. As with all accusations, valid proof must be provided. Please see the proof section below.

  4. Abuse of our volunteer Staff will not be tolerated in any form. This includes written messages or verbal comments.

  5. Teams in a tournament must contain the minimum number of eligible players to remain in that tournament. Teams without the minimum number of eligible players are subject to removal at the Staff's discretion.

  6. By signing up for this tournament you agree to any of your matches being livestreamed.

  7. Mice,Keyboards and Headsets are provided and Players may bring their own peripherals along with them at their own discretion. Each players peripherals must be kept on them at all times as they cannot be left with volunteers or left around the building at any time.

Map

  1. The default map for each round is:

    • Summoner's Rift

  2. This map must be used for all tournament matches.

General Tournament

  1. This tournament is limited to a maximum of 7 players per team.

  2. Every team is required to have a minimum of 5 players on their roster prior to signing up to the tournament.

  3. It is your responsibility to check if a team is using a pickup.

  4. Only your main roster will be prized. This coincides with riot rulings.

Match Settings

  1. The default settings specified in these rules cannot be changed.

  2. The following settings apply to all This Is Irish League of Legnds tournament matches:

General Settings:

  • Map: Summoner's Rift

  • Team Size: 5

  • Allow Spectators: All

  • Game Type: Tournament Draft

  • Name: Q-con XXIV Round (#) Match(#)

  • Password: Optional. We suggest you use it, to stop random people joining

Matches

  1. Matches must be played in their entirety. The match must be completed before the round deadline.

  2. Match Formats

  3. Teams will play matches in the following format during the qualifiers:

    • Best of 1 in groups of 4

    • Top 2 of every group will proceed to the Q-ConXXIV Tournament.

  4. Hosting

    • If your game is being streamed, the game will be created by the casters. It is your responsibility to make sure your team is aware of any streamed games.

    • For all games, the team on the top half of the bracket will be the Blue side.

    • Blue team is responsible for hosting the game and inviting summoners. Red team captain is responsible for letting Blue captain know who to invite.

  5. Games will be created 30 mins before the game is scheduled to start. Both teams are expected to have their full 5 man roster in the lobby 15 mins early.

  6. Games must start on time. We allow a 15 min grace period either side; if both teams agree to it you may start 15 mins early. This does not apply to streamed games, which will start exactly on time.

  7. Teams are allowed a total of 10 mins per game for pauses. If you reach your 10 minute limit, you must either immediately unpause the game, or forfeit

  8. Pauses should only be for valid reasons and you may be punished for abusing this feature.

Rosters

  1. Players updated after sign up close will be ineligible to participate in this tournament.

  2. It is both teams responsibility to verify the eligibility of all players playing in the match prior to starting or continuing any match play. If the hosting team starts a map with an ineligible player on their team, they are subject to penalties. If the non-hosting team has an ineligible player present when the map is started, it is assumed that the hosting team allowed the player to play, and the result of the map will stand.

  3. All summoner names on a team’s roster must be valid. The summoner account must be legitimately owned by the user on the roster.

  4. Users are permitted to be listed on only one team in each tournament at any given time. Users are only permitted one summoner name per tournament.

  5. All roster spots must be comprised of only one valid summoner name. Spelling, spaces and characters must be exact, but does not need to be case sensitive.

  6. If the opponent team has an ineligible player present, ask the team to replace that player. You must have given the team the required 30 minutes from match start time to substitute their ineligible players. If the team does not substitute their ineligible player, do not start the match/ allow the match to start and contact staff.

  7. Summoner name changes must be changed before sign up close. Riot also advises summoners not to change their name until after receiving any prizes, or risk losing them.

  8. The only players eligible to play for your team are those that are signed up on the roster page on the This is Irish sign up sheet.

  9. Your roster may be interchanged at any time to use one of your subs..

  10. Only your main roster will be prized.

  11. Rosters are Locked before your first game of the tournament. After such time you may not change your roster for a player that is not registered.

No shows

  1. A team has 15 minutes after start time to show-up with the proper number of eligible players and be ready to start the match. Failure to do so will result in a forfeit. Teams are responsible for all scheduled matches.

  2. If you have a No Show issue, you must notify Adrian Sau Shing Yeung messaging him via the resources given

  3. You must include:

    • A link to a legible image of the end of the game

    • Which round the game is for

    • Both team names

    • Both team tags

    • The victorious team

Reporting

  1. The winning team is responsible for reporting the outcome of a match. The winning team must screenshot the after game lobby and message Adrian Yeung. If this is not done, we cannot guarantee your victory or your potential prize. As the winning team, this is your responsibility.

  2. All matches must be reported correctly. If you had an issue with a match such as a No Show, Wrong Settings, etc., you must submit a ticket containing your valid proof.

  3.  
  4. You must include:

    • A link to a legible image of the end of the game

    • Which round the game is for

    • Both team names

    • Both team tags

    • The victorious team

Cheating

  1. We have a zero tolerance policy for cheating. Teams caught cheating, “glitching”, or abusing in-game mechanics in any way will be removed from the tournament.

  2. Anyone caught using ineligible, unregistered or smurf accounts will be disqualified from the current tournament. This may also affect your eligibility in future tournaments

Staff

  1. Verbally abusing Staff members called into a match will not be tolerated. The individual user and/or team violating this rule will be subject to being locked. All team leaders are responsible for the conduct of the players on the team while interacting with Staff and are subject to penalties for abusive team players.

  2. Staff members that enter a match have the discretion to make necessary calls to ensure the match is completed successfully. When in a match, the Staff member's call is final and must be followed. Failure to do so will result in penalties for your team. After the match, if you disagree with a call made you can submit a ticket for review by an Admin.

Evidence Policy

  1. All proof submitted to an admin needs to be from the match in question. If you submit proof from the wrong match/game or links to inappropriate material, you will receive a punishment.

  2. You need to show proof of winning each map/game in a match to be given the win for it. All proof must be clearly visible and show the in-game full scoreboard during the completion of that map/game. The proof must clearly show both team's players to be considered valid.

  3. All video proof should be uploaded to an external website such as www.YouTube.com . Picture proof should be uploaded to an external website such as www.photobucket.com or www.imageshack.us . The URL link to the individual pictures/proof must be placed in a ticket.

  4. For all glitching and cheating claims, the accuser must provide proof. To submit a glitching or cheating claim, you must submit a ticket and include the URL link containing valid proof.

  5. All conversations between users are not considered proof. This includes AIMs, emails, PMs, Skype messages, etc.

  6. Proof that has been faked or tampered with in anyway will not be accepted as valid and will result in punishment.

Captains can report their team's score.
