Described as Football but with rocket powered cars, Rocket League assigns up to three players each into two teams, with the objective being to put the ball with the rocket powered cars into the opponent’s net. Matches are typically five minutes long, with a sudden death overtime if the game is tied at that point. Players have the ability to jump, use boost to travel quickly across the map and to fly to hit the ball in the air and to demolish other people cars. Players can also perform quick dodges, causing their car to do a short jump and spin in a given direction, which can be used to nudge the ball or gain positioning advantage over the other team. Games are played a lightning fast pace and real mechanical skill is required, making games intense and highly enjoyable.
This year, Q-Con is working with Rocket League Ireland make this years tournament bigger than ever. There are no restrictions based on player skill so everyone can join in on the fun!
