Role Playing Games

Q-Con will have a lot of different tabletop role-playing games running this year. There will be something for everyone: Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition, Star Wars, Pathfinder, GURPS, World of Darkness, Elder Scrolls and much, much more.

You can find the RPG section in the South Dining Hall. We have different time slots available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, morning, afternoon and evening. Games will start at set times.

Dungeons & Dragons: Dungeons & Dragons (or D&D for short) is a classic fantasy tabletop role-playing game, originally designed in the 1970’s by Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson. It is still one of the world’s best-selling RPGs. The current fifth edition is easy to pick up. If you have never role-played before this is a pretty good game to get started.

Star Wars: Role-playing in a galaxy far, far away. You can be a noble Jedi or a lowly smuggler, a freedom fighter or a bounty hunter. Will you join the Rebellion or succumb to the Dark Side?

World of Darkness: We live our days completely ignorant of the true terrors lurking around us. Only rarely do our experiences draw back the veil of shadows and reveal the horror in our midst. These glimpses into the supernatural can cause us to retreat into comforting lies - “There are no such things as monsters” - or stir our morbid curiosity. Only a few, however, can overcome their fear and dare to look deeper...

If you would like to request, or offer to run a game, tournament, demonstration at Q-Con XXIV, or just to find out more information, please email rpgs@q-con.org.uk.
