Timetables, can be found on the Q-Con website and Q-Conpanion App. There is a full Timetable Page, and also broken down by section at the links in the navigation bar at the top of the site.
During the convention there will also be large posters around the convention buildings showing event times.

In an effort to be more environmentally friendly, we have once again minimised our paper literature to only crucial details. All of the convention's up-to-date information is available on this website or Via the Q-Conpanion App, and can be accessed during Q-Con Weekend from your mobile device.
In addition, all event desks will have posters and timetables showing what’s happening throughout the convention.

We don’t plan to stream any of this year’s convention online at present.

For most tournaments you can sign-up during the weekend, at the relevent area. Sign-ups begin at the start time listed, and will remain open for 30 minutes, or until the game is filled on a first-come basis.

As part of the convention we will have our own photographers clearly visible in Q-Con T-shirts with Photographer badges. If you wish to not be in a photo/video please politely inform the photographer.
Additionally, Queen’s University operates CCTV throughout the campus.

Q-Con encourages all its attendees to make as many memories as possible with friends. We would remind you that under the Safeguarding Policies of Queen's University Belfast, no attendee under the age of 16 may be photographed at the event by other attendees.
Please be courteous when taking photos which include others and adhere to the legal requirements for release permissions. Please also ensure that you do not inconvenience others or create a distraction/nuisance while taking photographs or videos.

Q-Con does everything we can to support you if you have additional accessibility or other health challenges which might complicate your weekend.
If you're required to have a medical professional or other such support worker accompany you for your trip to Q-Con, we'll make sure they're taken care of and that it won't impact your enjoyment or participation.
Please register yourself as an attendee through our online portal, and when you arrive at the event ask to speak to the Registration Manager who will process your entry.

You will need the QR code from your FIXR registration if you have pre-registered (this can be brought on a phone or printed off).
If you are paying in on the day you can pay by cash at the desk or online by debit/credit card (tickets on the day are £18* for a weekend pass or £10* for a day pass).

Veteran convention goers wouldn't be caught without a few helpful items such as; an external battery for your mobile phone, lightweight portable coat in case it rains, extra funds securely hidden, and bottle of water - staying hydrated is always an important part of enjoying the convention experience.

Unless stated otherwise in a specific Tournaments rules, Q-Con will provide all the equipment needed to play.
Keep in mind that Q-Con is not responsible for the safety of any personal devices brought to the convention by attendees.

Nudity or walking barefoot are not permitted in the convention even if it’s part of your character’s design.

Nerf guns can be bought so long as they have no darts, remain visible as a toy and comply with the conventions Cosplay & Prop Rules. Any nerf guns modified to look like real weapons will be asked to be removed.
Lightsabers are welcome to the convention as part of a cosplay etc. but are still subject to the Cosplay & Prop Rules section regarding horseplay.

Registration FAQs

Weekend pre-registration passes can be purchased via FIXR. Pre-registration weekend passes cost £18.00, and day passes cost £10.
*plus an additional FIXR booking fee.

There will be one-day and weekend passes available to purchase on the day, but to avoid disappointment you should pre-register via FIXR.

Regrettably we cannot offer refunds however we may be able to transfer your ticket to someone else if we are given enough notice.

You will get your pass in the form of a wristband at the event. Registration will be taking place in Whitla Hall, next to Queen's Lanyon Building.

No. This year attendees will be given wristbands that they should keep on for the duration of their time at the con. These wristbands cannot be transferred to other people either.

Q-Con cannot accept credit card payments on the day, however you can use them to register online. Trade stalls and artists are not required to accept any other form of payment other than cash, so availability will depend on the trader or artist.
Keep in mind, the Students’ Union building is cashless, any facilities provided by the Students’ Union in this building are card only.

Passes are available at the registration desk at the convention for £10* for an individual day and £18* for a weekend pass.

Under 4’s will be admitted without charge - just ask at Registration!
Children 12, or Younger, need to be accompanied by a Parent or Guardian.

At Q-Con there won’t be any guardian passes available for Under 12’s, you can purchase passes as normal for anyone attending.

Train - Queen’s Students’ Union is handily nestled between the City Hospital and Botanic Train Stations which are serviced by all Translink train services to Bangor, Derry-Londonderry, Larne, Portadown and Portrush.
Each station is approximately no more than a five minute walk from the venue.Bus - Queen’s Students’ Union is a bus stop on the No. 8 Metro service
running from Donegall Square to Elm’s Village on the Malone Road.For more information on train and bus timetables and pricing, please visit the Translink website.
Bike - There are a number of bike stands and even a Belfast Bikes bay outside the Students’ Union Building.

Q-Con can offer a limited number of rooms in Queen’s University Accommodation this year. Like Convention tickets these rooms can be booked via FIXR.
We also recommend checking out local tourist accommodation sites such as VisitBelfast.

There will be parking spaces on Elmwood Avenue and other nearby on street locations, but these fill up very quickly so if you want one of these spaces try to get down as early as possible. In addition, on Saturday and Sunday there is space in the QUB Library car park.

There are lifts and ramps around all buildings and you will be able to get to every area with relative ease.

If you are a member of QUB you will be able to use to QUB Wifi.
Alternatively, there is QUB Guest Wifi which provides free Wifi for visitors.

The Students’ Union building is cashless, any facilities provided by the Students’ Union in this building are card only.

The Spar within the Students’ Union stocks a wide range of snacks and lunches. The Union Bar serves pizza, loaded fries and goujons. The Social (Café) serves continental style food and coffee.
On the Saturday of Q-Con QUB Campus Food and Drink have arranged for a Food Market to be present at the front of Queen’s University Lanyon Building.

In line with current legislation, Queen’s University enforces a no smoking policy throughout all of its buildings and premises. Smoking, including e-cigarettes/vaping, is only permitted in designated smoking areas outside.

You’ll be able to find an ATM outside the Tesco Express along University Road. If you are travelling from the Malone Road there is an ATM outside the Centra.

Q-Con is a quick walk to many great amenities.
On University Road you can find Queens Pizzeria (Pizza) and Maggie Mays (Traditional Irish Food/Milkshakes).
On Botanic Avenue you will find Hey Boba (Milk/Fruit Tea), Sakura (Japanese Food/Sushi), Eco Fresh (American/Japanese Candy) and Tea House (Asian Food & Drinks).
